Ringing Brightly for Our Future

The Jeptha Abbott Chapter NSDAR is one of the largest, most vibrant, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR or NSDAR) chapters in Pennsylvania. With over 200 members, Jeptha Abbott is comprised of women from ages 18 and up who come from a wide variety of backgrounds, points-of-view and beliefs. Our common thread is our passion in serving God, Home and County though education, historical preservation and patriotism.

Whether your interest is service to veterans or active troops, conservation, persevering historical sites, genealogy, literacy, women's issues, Native Americans, DAR mountain schools, and so much more - Jeptha Abbott has a place for you to shine and serve. If you'd rather be involved in more quiet ways, perhaps just attending the occasional Chapter Meeting or social event - that's fine, too!

Aside from our service committees and activities, Jeptha Abbott holds Chapter Meetings from September through June with interesting speakers on a wide variety of subjects. Our wonderful Tea Hostesses provide refreshments at the conclusion of most Chapter Meetings. This gives everyone a chance to greet new members, chat with visitors and catch up with other chapter members.

Each year, Jeptha Abbott holds a Spring Fashion Show which is our primary fundraiser to help support DAR projects and services. In June, we close out our year with our annual June Luncheon.

Jeptha Abbott daughters also like to celebrate our successes! Each year we hold a festive Holiday Tea and our Patriot's Ball, typically held in November, is a 'not to be missed' gala.

Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in joining Jeptha Abbott, would like to attend a Chapter Meeting or event or would just ask us a few questions - we love to hear from you!
